…not even photographers!
So, here’s the deal.
I was at Birmingham New Street station to shoot some 360 degree camera footage for a project I am working on. The project requires a place where there are a lot of people around. And what better place than a train station during a Friday evening rush hour?
Well, it would have been if yours truly hadn’t committed what is a classic schoolboy error and forgot to charge the battery on the 360 camera….( yes – I did feel stupid ). I had everything ready. I had done a few walk-throughs of a smaller crowd, sized up where I wanted to shoot the video, I was even prepared to stoop so low as to use that object that all photographers frown upon – the selfie-stick – in order to get my shot. And then I switched on the camera….
It switched on, the battery sign flashed empty then switched off. DOH !!
So what to do. The only thing I could do. Get out my other camera and start shooting some street (well technically it was ‘station’ as it was inside the concourse, but I guess that is just geography).
So here is the fruit of that otherwise failed attempt at 360 degree video shoot. I’ll save that for another day.
And yes – I’ll remember to check that battery level BEFORE I leave the house….
I thank you…..
